Walk the trails of our beautiful 10-acre property and give the dogs extra socialization, exercise and play time. We also have an enclosure with agility equipment where dogs can get additional exercise. There are also opportunities to help staff with cleaning the kennels and feeding the dogs.
Cat Socializing
Spend time with our adoptable cats, kittens, and special needs cats to help them become more social. All of our cats roam free in our indoor and outdoor enclosures and special needs cats live in a separate cottage. You can pet, brush and play with the cats or just take a seat and be a lap for those who want attention. There are also opportunities to help the staff with cleaning the enclosures and feeding the cats.
Fostering
Provide a foster home to specific adoptable pets that need some extra TLC. A separate application and screening process are required for this role.
Maintenance/Landscaping
Help at the shelter with general maintenance tasks, cutting grass, or general landscaping needs.
Events
Help promote the shelter and our new program, Forever Home Pet Trust, by interacting with the public at events in the community and at our shelter. There are also opportunities to be a dog handler at these events and help to get our adoptable pets seen by more people.
Office Assistant
Provide administrative support to staff by helping at the front desk at the shelter. Answering phones, greeting the public, and general office duties.
Bargain Store
Our Bargain Store is fully operated by volunteers. Join this wonderful team with taking donations, selling items and general upkeep of the store.
